What we collect, why, and the choices you have about it.
We collect information in three ways: what you give us directly (the details you send through our contact form), what's collected automatically (device type, browser, approximate location, pages visited, via the analytics tools listed below and server logs), and what the advertising and measurement tools listed below collect through cookies and similar technologies.
To run the site (serving pages, remembering your cookie preference), to understand what content is working (aggregated analytics), and to respond if you contact us. We don't sell your personal information.
When you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, the subject you pick and your message. We use this information only to read and reply to your message. We do not store your IP address, and we do not add you to any mailing list. Messages are kept for 12 months, then deleted. You can ask us to delete your message and contact details at any time by emailing contact@mainnpc.com. The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, an anti-spam check that runs without tracking cookies.
MainNPC earns money from partner game offers: some links, labeled Sponsored, go through mainnpc.com/go/… to a partner network that is paid when a visitor installs a game. Our redirect counts clicks per offer and stores no personal data. The partner network and the game's store apply their own policies once you leave our site. We do not run display advertising today; if we add it, this page will be updated first. See our Affiliate Disclosure and Cookie Policy.
We use Google Analytics 4 and Cloudflare Web Analytics to see aggregated traffic patterns (which articles get read, roughly where visitors come from, what device they used) so we can improve the site. This data is analyzed in aggregate; we're not trying to identify you personally from it.
These are the third-party services that currently run on MainNPC pages. Each one has its own privacy policy:
Google tags receive your cookie choice through Google Consent Mode. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, they are told that advertising and analytics storage is denied until you accept in the cookie banner. Everywhere else, that storage is allowed by default and you can refuse it at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page; Decline refuses it wherever you are. The Meta Pixel and the TikTok Pixel currently load whatever your choice; we are changing our settings so they follow it too, and will update this page when that is done. Our articles link to official game sites, install offers, and other resources. Once you click through, that site's own privacy policy applies. We don't control it.
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google Analytics and Google Ads wait for your consent before using cookies: a banner asks you on your first visit. Elsewhere, they are active by default and you can refuse them at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page (see the Cookie Policy for what that choice controls, including the current exception for the Meta and TikTok pixels). You can also control cookies through your browser settings at any time. If applicable data-protection law (like GDPR or CCPA) gives you the right to request a copy of, or the deletion of, the personal data we hold on you, contact us at contact@mainnpc.com and we'll respond within the legally required timeframe.
MainNPC is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. Given our subject matter (gaming) may naturally attract a younger audience, if we become aware we've collected data from a child under 13 without appropriate consent, we'll delete it.
We use industry-standard safeguards (HTTPS, access controls on our hosting and database) appropriate for the type of data we hold. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
We may update this policy as our practices, tools, or the law change. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
