MainNPC isn't another content farm rewriting patch notes. Here's why we exist, who we are, and how we actually work.
Every gaming site says it's "honest." Most of them are describing the same ten games with the same recycled talking points, because generic content is now free and instant. An AI can write "top 10 tips" for any game in thirty seconds. So can we, and so can everyone else. That's exactly the problem.
MainNPC exists on the opposite bet: that what is worth reading is what has been checked. Every article starts from primary sources (developer announcements, patch notes, store pages, published drop rates and hardware specs) and from documented player reports, and every one of those sources is linked at the end of the article with the date we checked it. The name is the mission statement. An NPC repeats the same three lines to everyone who walks past. A main character knows what is actually going on.
Four things, done properly instead of ten things done lazily:
Players who are tired of being talked down to by content that assumes zero prior knowledge, and equally tired of guides written by people who clearly never got past the tutorial. If you want the version of a review a friend who's actually good at the game would give you, that's what we're aiming for.
Three rules we hold ourselves to on every article:
MainNPC uses one editorial pen name per section so each keeps a consistent voice and standard. These are pen names, not real people's names; each byline page explains how its articles are researched.
New reviews and guides go up weekly, and we post the shorter stuff, clips, tier list updates, quick takes, on Facebook. Reach out any time, or head to our Reviews to see the standard for yourself.
